Bio: Zanko was born into the royal family of Kaara, and was raised as a kind, compassionate prince. His father, Karuno, was the son of the country's founder, Kaarus himself, who once was a member of the Archon, an oligarchy of nine Archites who ruled the world, led by the powerful and ruthless Destro. They each used an Origin Shard, the essence of a force of nature, created by Destro's powers. Kaarus grew contemptful of their actions because of his kind heart, having joined the group with good intentions. He fought and killed them all one by one, stealing their gem shards and uniting them all to defeat Destro in a decisive conflict. He founded the country Kaara as a haven for people who had their homes ravaged by the Archon's rule. He disappeared after Karuno came of age, and has never been heard from since. Zanko stands as the next heir to the legacy. He hated being holed up in the castle, and developed a wanderlust. He loved playing in the wilderness outside the town, and became an adept swordsman under his father's watch. He wields a sword passed down from Kaarus, and a necklace with his Origin Shard of fire. One day, a messenger came from Floraglen requesting help in fending off the Tengu Cult. Seeing this as a good opportunity to improve, Karuno allowed Zanko to investigate the issue. He found that an Archite, Pjo, was behind the attack, a group of people who had been supposed dead all his life. When he slayed Pjo, a green shard dropped from his body, and Zanko picked it up and examined his sword's pommel, containing seven diamond-shaped divets. When he held it up to the shard, it fused and changed his form, imbuing him with the power of wind. Each different shard gives him a radically different personality, befitting that of the Archite it originated from. Heeding Pjo's boast of the Archon's revival, he set off to slay the rest of the Archites.
